Ambrose Lake
lies entirely within Ambrose Lake Ecological Reserve. It is an environmentally
sensitive coastal bog lake ecosystem that is protected from all human
development - the only permitted uses within the reserve are non-intrusive
scientific research and education (a permit is required from the British
Columbia Parks Branch).
Because of the ecological sensitivity of the area, human recreational
activity has the potential to negatively impact the lake and the surrounding
land. Please respect the intent of this ecological reserve and leave the
Ambrose Lake area to the exclusive use of the native wildlife that live
there.
